Dr. Matt grew up in Tsawwassen and is happy to be living in Steveston after spending four years out of province. He has a BSc in Microbiology and a DMD from the University of British Columbia, where he and Dr. Maureen were classmates. After his dental degree, he spent a year in Toronto at the Hospital for Sick Children, providing dental care for children with medical complications. Then it was off to Edmonton, where he spent three years at the University of Alberta pursuing his MSc in orthodontics. He has published articles in the Journal of the American Dental Association and has conducted research in dental aesthetics as part of his Master of Science degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He treats both children and adults needing braces and/or other appliances to straighten teeth and jaws.
